Adsorption (Desiccant) Air Dryers  

Southern Cross Compressors sell Adsorption Air Dryers.  (An Adsorption Air Dryer is designed to remove condensate from compressed air in the most critical applications.) 

Our Adsorption Air Dryers: 

• are also known as Desiccant Air Dryers -
• are used in specialized manufacturing processes that need exceptionally dry air. eg. Pharmaceuticals, electronics, lab equipment, auto refinishing.
• Have two parallel towers filled with beads of activated alumina. Compressed air flows upwards within one tower of the Adsorption or Desiccant Air Dryer while the second tower is regenerated with a small stream of the dried air (over a 5 - 10 minute period). The activated alumina is a hygroscopic, hard, durable desiccant material that should last for approx 5 years if adequately protected from contamination by compressor oil.
• Can be setup with a constant pressure dew point of -40°C to -70°C dew point.
